It all started for me here, on SDIY.  Asking about sequencers and such, got
a few practice boards from a local shop to learn to solder, and our own Theo
Hogers held my hand and taught me to build a powersupply and a sequencer.

The best part was when he said "what are you, about 14?"  me: "23 actually"
!!
