Now this sounds familiar... Although in my case it was racemic tartaric
acid with a tad of potassiumhexacyanoferrat(II), sulfur, and iron --
commonly known as stink bomb.

Much to the joy(?) of my parents I left this mixture in a corked test
tube and forgot about it, until 3 days later...
