 No more insane than the size of a piano or a drum kit in my opinion. Who
would complain about that? In acoustic musical instruments physics/acoustics
dictate the final size of the instrument. I think speakers should be regarded
in the same way - as musical instruments - they're supposed to be able to sound
like ANY instrument - an impossible task!
 Considering this, I think a shoebox sized speaker is insane (or insanely
optimistic), but that's me.
