"C structs that can contain functions".

All the rest CAN be useful, in the right hands, but if you ignore
inheritance and operator overloading et al, and pare it down to just structs
with functions, you actually still gain an incredible amount of power, and
at a minimum of pain. I find it hard to write C code now, because it's
sooooo much cleaner in (simple) C++.
