[sdiy] to use or not to use... log conformance PNP pair

I'm ready to slap together the T. Henry VCO1. It calls for a matched PNP pair for keytrack(expo). I have a PNP pair in a can but it is labelled "Log conformance". I don't know what log conformance means. More to the point, will this part work for the expo convertor or am I better off using single (but matched) PNP transistors ?
