I am pretty sure that the Evolver's two "analog" oscillators are DCO's 
(classic Roland/Matrix 1000 type), but I could be wrong.  I am fairly certain that 
they are not VCO's, just in case anyone here was starting get overly excited... 
 If those are custom-made Curtis chips, they may also contain the necessary 
DCO waveshaping circuitry, along with the expected mixing VCA's, filter, and 
output VCA.
