[sdiy] pro EQs

It is funny, I had posted this EQ question several weeks ago and just by
chance I now noticed that there were messages related to this topic again
here in this list.
So just to make things clear:
I'm a newbie and i was encouraged to pose a question by the fact that other
simple (sometimes stupid) questions are posed here in this list from time
to time by other beginners and these questions get regularly patient, kind
and professional replies by real professionists; of course I understand
that a diy list is more professionally oriented so I "filter" myself a question
before posing it. Ken is right saying that commercial gear is fine if I
just need an eq but the fact is that I have a rack with 8 channel mic PREs
(4X sx202 symetrix) 8 channel comp/gate (presonusACP88) 8 channel line mixer
(Behringer RX1602) and I like the way this thing sounds but I don't have
any EQs. I don't want to use a regular flat desk mixer BUT I couldn't find
any 2U rack 8 channel analog EQ. The only one I could find was almost 4,000$
it is Oram I think, so my question came from the fact that it seems than
nothing exist similar to what I'm looking for in a reasonable price range.
So saving money is not the first urgency if I can find a MULTI channel eq
(6 or 8 in a rack) that is only eq and nothing else and that doesn't cost
3 or 4,000$ I'm not looking for a stereo pair or a single channel strip
or else.
Many thanks Enrico
