Ah yes having seen waveshapers similar to that before is what made me
think that these might be interesting in wild and crazy ways

I have no idea what I was looking for when I found that... 
Oh! I know. I think I was looking for interesting synth circuits using
an NE567 (which I bought all of at a local shop right after I bought up
all of their NE566's (well they were LM566's actually...)).
