hehe, I know what you mean, let try and perhaps explain.
A lot of this list is geared towards the older technologies, like VCOs,
VCFs, DCOs, etc.
The reason for this is simple, it easy to make an analogue VCO or VCF, its a
lot harder to make something like a Z plane filter in your own home.

I'm exploring some ideas I've got in DSP, because I simply can't do them
with analogue, sadly on this list there's not many DSP guys I can bounce
questions off.. and sometimes I get the feeling that certain words (like DSP
and Digital) are a taboo subject and highly frowned upon.

That said, sure, not much 'new' stuff gets made here, but a lot of great
improvements on the old stuff is here. If you want a rock solid VCO with all
the bells and whistles, or some great adaptaions of filters, this *IS* the
place.
If you want 'morphing-interdimensional-Yplane-table-synthesis' you're
unlikely to find it here.
The upside is that a lot of good ideas and projects are born from concepts
and conversations being bounced around on here.
