[sdiy] MG-1 transformer troubles... repair or replace?

Exactly what I was afraid of... :)

 I managed to get it fixed... I had to tear away part of the paper around
the transformer, but I was able to get enough slack on the broken part of
the wire to get my iron to it.  A little electrical tape and she's good as
new.
