And now that the "what-is" subject is there.... (no, not involving 
any crucial repair or project, just to scratch that annoying 
curiosity itch).

I have a few old (1970/71) 14-DIL Fairlight IC's with the following codes:

U6A 7741393
U6A 7703393
U6A 7723393
U6W 7723393 (same in gold/ceramic)

Any historians (or plain old folks) that can shed some light on these?
