Ah, that happens when this innovative technology is *new*.

Take sampling for instance. There's the kind of sampling used by e.g.
Art of Noise on their various albums or Jean Michel Jarre on "Zoolook".
Creative. Novel. Innovative.

And then there's sampling in a Gigasampler kind of way...
