Yes there is a way but it is pretty complex.  You use the sawtooth to
reset a ramp generator...
The output amplitude of this will be variable, longer sweeps have larger
amplitudes.  Then
you sample the voltage of the ramp JUST before the peak.  Then use an
analog divider circuit
to regulate the gain.  The sawtooth is the numerator, and the S/H
voltage is the denominator.

This is assuming that you NEED to sync a sawtooth to an existing square
wave. I would think
that a scope timebase would generate a triggered sawtooth....and you
change the current to
change the sweep. This is basically a VCO... and we know how to build
those.

Can't the card be repaired ???
