[sdiy] DCO resolution (avr talk)

All this AVR DCO PAO talk got me thinking...
Which resolution is needed for a "good" sounding Phase Accu Osc. ?
Is 0.01 Hz enough?

With 0.01 hz resolution i could use 24 bits for the accumulator and clock
the routine with 167772 khz.
is that the right way?

(i imagine a 8 osc. 4 voice synth :-)  )
