I STRONGLY recommend using the 'correct' power supply, especially for
anything with a
microprocessor in it.
Fortunately, there is enough distance from + and -15 to use cheap
regulators,
or adjustables. Test the power supplies (with a 1K resistors as load)
before connecting up to the gear.
