[sdiy] Circuit / Op-amp question

Okay, so here's one for the gurus:

I'm laying out a circuit board for a VCO. Between the expo converter, the
sync circuit and the waveshapers/buffers, there are several op-amps on the
board. Are there any disadvantages to using quad amps (TL074 for example)?
My main concern is if things like the sync buffer might have any funny
interactions with the expo converter (if they share an dual or quad op amp
package). I think it would be okay if the waveshapers shared a quad amp or
two (there's one in the tri to sine, one buffer for the triangle, one buffer
for the square wave, one or two for the tri to saw converter, two for the
PWM, and one for the suboctave buffer, so two quad packages would fill the
bill nicely).

Or am I better off using duals (only slightly more board space)? Again, my
main concern is interaction with the expo converter if I use a dual or a
quad there and share the IC package with some other functions.

As always, I await enlightenment...
