[sdiy] PCB Issues

Hi,
I'm also using "toner transfer" method for PCBs but I still haven't
found the Best Practice (tm), so I wouldn't have to do any patching
afterwards. With glossy injet paper usually all the toner sticks, but
result can be a bit blurry. So I've purchased cheap laser
transparencies. With those using too much heat or pressure results
toner bleeding badly, and with too little heat/pressure the pattern is
really sharp, but some toner sticks to the transparency as it's peeled
off.
For schematic capture and pcb layout I'm using Target3001!, PCB-POOL
edition. It's intended to creating layouts ordered from PCB-POOL, and
"crippled" a bit - it has its own data format, and most other
input/output formats are disabled, as is printing to scale.. But it
really doesn't matter, if you use CutePDF or similar PDF printer
driver - Scale program output to 200% and printer driver to 50%. Still
- this is first PCB design software that I have enjoyed using.
Bye, Samppa
