If you go to digikey.com and type CDCT-ND into the search box, you'll
get a bunch of values that they have available.
They're all about 55 cents each with a minimum order of 10.
They're very small, so I wouldn't recommend using them unless you're
comfortable with your soldering skills.
You want them in physical contact with the transistors, so I carefully
soldered very thin & VERY flexible leads to each side of the tempco.
Depending on your application, you then solder the ends of the leads to
wherever they go in your circuit and carefully arrange them in contact
with the appropriate transistors. I used a little gob of heatsink
compound and held it all together with a very small ty-wrap.
I actually wasn't too thrilled with this method, but it seemed to work
ok.
This has all gotten me to think about having a batch of miniature pcbs
made.- with pads to mount one or two of these tiny tempcos and holes
for wire leads. These could be so small, that I think they'd be cost
effective, and maybe solve this tempco problem for a lot of us...
Does any of this make sense?
