Still being made?  Wow.  I know I've run into them someplace,  but can't 
remember just where offhand.

That was the predecessor to the 741,  and it actually had better 
characteristics in some applications.  But it needed external compensation 
components,  which the 741 handled internally.

I have *one*,  as well.  :-)
