I've got the CA3080 book, noise generator book, and drum circuits book.
These are well written and have been very helpful for me. As far as
the CA3080 book goes, the first part is about how to use it. If you are
not an electronics beginner then you probably won't have any problems
figuring that out yourself, but it's a good reference anyway. the later
part of this one has some circuits that use the 3080 along with good
descriptions. VCA, VCO, balanced modulator. there's also a couple of
circuits for current sources to drive the 3080.
the noise book is also good. It covers simple transitor noise circuits,
and then also some digital noise circuits that can be voltage
controlled. pink filters also. I haven't read the drum book yet because
I don't want to end up starting another project before I finish a few
other ones. I'd say these were well worth the money. I look in them
pretty regularly. but if you are some electronics expert then they won't
be as useful, but there is several circuit ideas in them.
