Well I am no expert in Mellotron but the M-Tron sounds exactly like 
the Mellotrons I can hear on my favourite LPs by Tangerine Dream, 
Genesis and so on.
All the keys have been sampled one by one from the real stuff, and
no interpolation is used, which is not the case with some other VST 
plug-ins that aim at emulating Mellotrons.
The note duration is limited to 8s just like the true thing.
However, I have never had the chance to compare with a genuine Mellotron...
