I got some info from someone else that the M6 has
problems with not being able to process negative values
properly using the NPRN messages.  I was planning to
use sysex for everything anyway, since there are some
parameters that can't be changed any other way.

I did a bunch of work on it over the weekend.  I have it
finding the M1000 properly from the CoreMIDI database, and
it can receive MIDI.  But for some reason I haven't had
much luck doing the sending.  I suspect that it has to
do with external-device endpoints being different from
"ordinary" device endpoints, but I haven't yet done the
experiments I need to do to figure it out.
