People can (and do) patent analog circuitry ideas every day.
Whether there are any analog synth-diy type concepts that it
would be commercially worth while to publish, is another matter.
Roland's lawyers thought it worthwhile to send a stack of papers to
me under the impression that my optical theremin infringed their
D-beam. Thanks to good people on this list, I was able to show that
the technology i was using is 30 + years old.
