[sdiy] ultimate newbie question

Hello List,
  I am a brand new subscriber to this list and I wanted to start off by
asking a semi-urgent piece of advice; Today or Tomorrow I MUST put in an
order with All Electronics to finish an instrument I am making, and in
an effort to save on shipping I wanted to order parts for a DIY synth at
the same time. So...

Can anyone recommend a DIY schematic? I'm a big fan of Peter B's
instruments and a die-hard moogaphile. My only requirement of the
schematic is built in MIDI control- phrase looping would be a big plus
but I know that's a stretch.

I've been looking at PAiA's fat man (not terribly DIY, if you ask me),
and the Sound Lab Mini-Synth (dubious midi capacity). Thanks for
entertaining my question
