[sdiy] midi controller kits

hi all
anyone have any opinions on some of the diy midi
controller kits out there? i've been thinking about
building a box with 8 motorized faders, 32 knobs
and 32 buttons, with a few joysticks for surround
panning.. i've looked at the stuff doepfer has to offer,
but right now i'm leaning towards the midibox stuff,
based on the PIC18F452 microcontroller.
