Dear Andreas Gaunitz,
that is an interesting project you mention.
in some theatre pipe Organs I think the same type of mechanism was used 
for Xylophones etc.
so you might be able to find out what arrangement of mechanism was used 
.I think there were also cases when an Acoustic piano was coupled up to 
a Pipe Organ in a similar way.
hopefully others on the list will have more info.
