You might want to check out the open source editor called JSynthLib (written
in java), there is an patch editor for the matrix 1000 and a different patch
editor for the matrix6 / 6r. It¹s obvious that the differences are big
enough for someone to have made 2 different editors. You could easily find
the difference by monitoring you MIDI output and checking out the different
options.
