Back in the day, I thought it was fairly standard to use these
pins for the "tally" power; that is, the power that turns on the
big red light on the camera that is on-air at the moment.  Do
modern studio cams even have these?

Also, wasn't it 24V?  Have I really been away from the video
industry that long?
