[sdiy] Shielded Wire Recommendations for TR-606

I've done some mods to a TR-606 and one of the mods is picking up a pretty 
nasty hum periodically.  If I touch the barrel of the plug of the output cable 
or any other metal (like my mixer's case) it will stop.  I figure using shorter 
cable runs of shielded wire should solve this.  Can anyone recommend a 
particular type of shielded cable for modifications inside drum machines and 
synths?  I've been looking on Mouser, but it seems to come in rather large and 
expensive rolls.  Thanks for any advice.
