Maybe "outdoor" electrical boxes might have less in the way of holes in them?
There are also some plastic boxes out there that seem pretty tough...
I have no idea what they'd cost these days, but this place I used to work did
small cable testers (just 3-pin cannon and quarter-inch connectors, three
LEDs and three buttons, and a 9v battery) in a tough little cast box made by
Bud. I have one here unused, marked CU-124, and it's 4-38"L x 2-3/8"W x
1-1/4" D. Tough little sucker...
