[sdiy] CA3080 - what to do?

So far, I have not been able to find a pin for pin substitute for the CA3080.
For new designs, there is the CA3280, which is about 4 times the price per
OTA, and the LM13700, which is still available from NJM. On Semiconductor
is supposed to be starting production of the NE5517 (philips ceased
production when their FAB burned down), but so far, they are not available
yet. Jameco, last time I checked, still have CA3080s for about 50 cents
each...I purchased 100 of them just before Intersil announced they were
stopping production.
