I have always thought that kazoos make a really interesting distortiony 
sound, and I've often wondered how one might go about synthesizing a kazoo (besides 
simply sampling one...).  I would especially like to be able to add a "kazoo 
effect" to audio signals.  Has anyone here ever stumbled across any real 
kazoo-like sounds or effects?  Mark, those overdriven vactrols don't really sound 
like an actual kazoo, or do they?

P.S. -  If you have a kazoo, try playing Led Zepplin's "Whole Lotta Love" on 
it.  Then, after you stop convulsing, follow up the Zep with Black Sabbath's 
"Iron Man".  You'll see what I mean about that distortion.
