No. The boosting would draw considerably amount of energy too, so I think the
chance of long hold-out is just very slim. The thing is that the voltage
drops to low levels on the same time might you not eat much more current than
the PIC already does. Maybe someone could spend his greys on the issue, but it
is not instantaniously obvious that it should work, at least not to me. But
then, I haven't designed low-voltage, low-current switches.
