I´m using the SFG7002 from www.elv.de.
The MAX083 inside runs from basically DC to 10MHz.
Perhaps the output amplifier adds to the distortion (I do not
believe, I think it as class AB and for the low frequencies controlled
by a NE5532). Distortion lines are speced with -30dB below fundamental.

it is very audible when doing Thiele >Small parameter measurments.
I.e. even via loudspeaker.
And visibkle on the scope as well, when the fundamental current is 
eliminated by any resonance like the motor resonance of a chassis.

It is also very audible in any other audio application, like ring modulation.

The 2206 has a class AB power amp controled by a 741 (actually not so
bad for 1kHz sine waves), and it is still much smoother.
