[sdiy] sources for wire

The one problem I have with salvage wire for me, it costs a lot more than
just buying a brand new reel. Time for me is in short supply, and having
to remove wire from something else and then having to go through it to find
a piece the right size, or long enough, just too time consuming. Now, I
will admit that in years past, I did do this. In fact, somewhere I have a
big box of Teflon wire that was thrown out at a place I used to work
for. I haven using any of that for a couple of decades now....
By the way, about 25 years ago, I bought 10 reels of #26 gauge 1000' PVC
hookup wire. I am still using that wire, to this day. 10,000 feet of wire
lasts a long time. And, if I remember, at the time it didn't seem like it
cost very much.
