just because wire is "salvage" does not make it bad wire.  If you salvage

some fancy gear, you may get wire WAY higher quality than you would
usually get.

Frank Lee...  I like to use solid bus wire and teflon sleeve.  This is a
lot
nicer than teflon insulated wire, which is VERY hard to strip.  Cut the
sleeve to length before you slide it on... easy

Of course the sleeve is expensive... and you don't find THAT in an old TV
