[sdiy] Multiplier vs VCA?

I'm in the USA and bought some that2180LC VCAs from this place

I bought 6 of them for something like $6 each I think it was. price goes
down with quantity but I didn't see a list of what prices go with each
quantity. just try different numbers on the order form. ships worldwide
for nothing. they even send you a paper copy of the data sheet. it is
expensive but for me, I'd rather pay more and not have to order so many
of them.
I'm planning to use one of these for a multistage envelope/lfo circuit
as a voltage controlled integrator.
