With the inductor and the proper shielded box... I'm
out
to about 3' control range just like the Etherwave.

The noise sounds like crap... but I'm not planning
on listening to it (rather making a CV) so maybe there
is no problem.

ThereminVision is a capacitive range sensor, with
prlly
a 10ms response. For music it would have to be faster
but still might work
