[sdiy] Looking for help with Bessel functions and FM

Ian Fritz has kindly pointed out that Bessel functions may not be as
daunting as I was making out in my two statements...

...and implies that they are reasonably easy to understand, and so I shall
recant what I said and hope that I have not put anyone off diving in and
giving them a go! (My statements were made from an initial impression when I
first looked at this a few years ago, when I didn't have the time to really
get into the detail - I still don't in fact, and maybe if I had I would not
have made the comments!)
