I've never tried soldering to it. Just apply the tape such that you can
screw a wire (or tab) against it.

The adhesive should not be a problem because we don't need conductivity
between the surface and the underside.
I once used the tape to shield a guitar cavity, where it was a little tricky
to make sure that it was all in electrical contact. A flat touch keyboard
should be easy, though.
