I've had some time during a train ride over the weekend to go through
the datasheet for the ADuC702x series. The one controller comparable to
the 8051F120 is the ADuC7026. It has two more DAC channels over the
Silicon Labs (formerly Cygnal) part, but lacks the second UART. You
can't use all interface functions on the AD part at once as they share
pins heavily, in contrast on the SL part you can even change the pinout
for the peripherals and GPIO pins to suit your board layout (I can't
praise that feature high enough!). Aside from that, they're pretty
comparable and the decision will probably depend on what development
tools you plan to get or already have available...
