So how *is* your prefered signal grounding scheme for a modular? I ended
up using some reasonably inexpensive Cliff jacks on the modules I'm
building, and conveniently they can in fact ONLY be mounted so that there
is *no* ground connection to the front panel metal, not that I can see how
that can eliminate ground loops once modules get patched together
anyway...
On my wacky scope idea, I am making some progress. I found a simple
design using transistor deflection amps, here:

And I've found three possible solutions for the HV power supply that I'm
considering. Stay tuned.
