Actually, what I had in mind was a bit more subtil than
the "vocacophony" module published in Elektor.
I mean : varrying the freq in the demodulator is OK,
but what about using the same freq (as in the modulator),
but with different harmonic content (like a sine and a saw -
and slowly modifying the spectrum with a LFO or ENV follower
and a VC-BPF), or adding non-harmonic partials to the freq,
or varrying the phase of the demodulation freq...
Basically the idea is to recover the original signal at the demodulator
output, but also to add some "ghost partials"...
I guess the number of parameters to modify might be larger...
