Hehe. Does anyone remember the "Lazarus" virus from the early Amiga days? It
was a boot-sector floppy virus that was a re-written, "Evil" version of
Eliza. Very disturbing, having your computer suddenly start a conversation
with you, then twist your answers back upon you with malicious intent.
Things slowly got more and more twisted when conversing with it; the
programmers did a nice job of warping Eliza to the dark side. This was 17
years ago or so; impressive for the time.
We performed a variation of "Fuko no Jutsu", where you put various poisonous
insects in a bottle and let them fight until only one is left; the last
living one is the "kodokuu", and is supposedly stronger for the battles. In
our version, disks infected with various computer virii were swapped out
until all of the disks wound up with the same virus on them. The kodokuu of
our battles was Lazarus; that was one scary virus, anyway you looked at it.
Gave us the creeps.
