[sdiy] So what's the difference between these IC's?

Hi list,

I've been sorting through my warehouse of goodies, and, as usual, the same
questions pop up about why there are two different CMOS chips that perform
the same function. So, I thought I'd drop everything and bug the list. =0)

Specifically:

CD4030 versus CD4070 - both are quad 2 input XOR gates

And the same applies to the CD4016 versus the CD4066 they're both quad
bilateral switches. So - what's the difference, if any?

Hopefully somebody can answer this nagging question I've never gotten around
to asking until now....

Cheers,
Scott
