[sdiy] Weird new idea for keyboards, anyone?

While thinking about the most annoying difference between using my old
Juno-60 and playing the piano, an SDIY idea occured to me.  Perhaps
this idea is too far fetched, but, perhaps someome may have some ideas
for how to turn it into something that will work, that will enable the
musician to have more control over the nuances of the output amplitude
of older synths.  Older synths like the Juno-60, alas, do not have
velocity and aftertouch sensitive keyboards, so, one can't put as much
feeling into the music as it's being played without using a foot pedal
or somesuch to control the amplitude of the output.

Has anyone given any thought to the possibility of some sort of
keyboard cover consisting of a velocity or pressure-sensive membrane,
or somesuch, which could be attached to attenuation circuitry?  Ok, I
realize that it might be far simpler to just use a newer MIDI keyboard
connected to the Juno-60 via a Kenton MIDI-DCB adapter or somesuch for
my application, but, for hack value, and for older synths/keyboards
that don't even have any sort of digital interface, the possibilities
could be interesting... not sure how much of a pain it would be to
play the keyboard with such a cover on it though, or how easy it would
end up being to depress multiple keys without intending to as a result
of the membrane.  I seem to recall reading about a pressure sensitive
membrane being manufactured with variable resistance; contains some
sort of flexible resistors that change resistance when bent.

Any thoughts?  It's late, I'm sleepy, and probably overlooking
something or other... or just having some bad ideas.
