I just had a brain storm (drizzle?).  Panasonic makes
a bathroom exhaust fan with a remote-mounted motor.
How about getting one of these, connecting the ductwork
to your computer, and putting the motor elsewhere?
Admittedly you have to cut a pretty big hole for the
ductwork.  But I've heard the fan and it is pretty
quiet at the air inlet.
