[sdiy] Looking for 64 Thin QFP socket

While sockets are not readily acquired "adapters" are. You do have to
solder the TQFP to the adapter board and then the board has any number of
.1" holes for adapting to a host board. Co-incidentally i was just looking
at my Twin Industries Inc. "General Purpose Prototyping boards" P/N
8100-SMT2 for QFP's from 44 to 144 pins.

regards,

One never knows, but I doubt it. The only reason anybody would want to put
a TQFP in a socket is for prototyping. The reason for a TQFP is to lower
production cost, and putting a part like that in a production socket would
be counter to that....however, that said, if you find one, let me know, I
wouldn't mind checking it out...
