There's one more thing I can think of, in addition to some of the good
suggestions other have given you. Make sure you test all the other
equipment you are using as well. It's common to only notice a problem when
you are touching two pieces of gear at the same time, such as playing
guitar (which is wired ok), and then touching a "hot" mic with your lip.
Make sure you test all your AC extension cords as well. Sometimes, the
problem isn't where you expect it to be.
