Ahh, I think that you have uncovered something. Well this was the direction
that I was going. I did not expect an actual delay IC, but a CCD does make
all kinds of sense for this application. I have seen some small ones that
are used in scanners. They look like a strip of silicon under glass. This
may not be the right type, but I am sure that there is something available
that can be hacked to work as a delay line. I was thinking about some form
of ram originally, but a CCD is much better.
Can the CCD from a video camera be used as analog storage, or is that
ridiculous? I don't know enough about those.

I am trying to determine if some of the CMOS memory IC's have enough storage
cells in them to be of any use. It would require digital assistance to
address the cells and move the charges around, but could that work in
theory? Are those capacitances large enough to be of any use?
